Addiction has shaped my life and my work in profound ways. My own recovery journey began more than 28 years ago, and it changed how I see addiction, healing, and family recovery. It taught me that addiction is complex, families need support, and recovery is possible. I’m a clinician who has lived it.

I’m an International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor, author of What’s Wrong with My Teen? Finding Answers to Teenage Addiction and Family Crisis, and a speaker, educator, and media contributor focused on addiction, recovery, and family healing.

Through my clinical work, writing, speaking, and advocacy, I help families, professionals, and communities face addiction and mental health challenges with honesty, clarity, and hope.

I am the author of What’s Wrong with My Teen? Finding Answers to Teenage Addiction and Family Crisis.

The book was written for parents and caregivers who are trying to understand what is happening, how to respond, and how to support their teen while also taking care of themselves.
